Choose Your Brand Colors Wisely

by Benjamin

in branding, business development

There are so many aspects to branding a company and one very important one is the color scheme. The colors need to speak to what the brand is about without words. In other words, when you see Ferrari red, you automatically think Ferrari. Another example of colors being used effectively in branding is McDonald’s. The color choices used in their restaurants have been chosen to make people eat fast and leave. They do not want people to linger, as they are a fast food company. The colors speak to that.

Over at Logoinn.net, I found an article that talks about the emotions that colors give offcolor-wheel-300. Here are some popular colors and the emotions tied to them.

RED: Red shows energy, strength, love, passion, romance, warmth, excitement, blood, desire, enthusiasm, danger, joyfulness, speed, courage, prominence, intensity.

BLUE: Blue portrays creativity, wisdom, gentleness, calmness, trust, loyalty, intelligence, devotion, confidence, comfort, ideas, harmony, friendship, patience.

GREEN: Green typifies success, fertility, growth, endurance, freshness, nature, immortality, environment, good luck, youthfulness, safety, contemplation, joyfulness, hope, dependability, friendliness.
