I Miss My Books!
When I made the move to Hawaii, I had to leave a lot of things behind. Material type possessions such as my TV, DVD player and PC computer I was OK giving to friends and family or donating. One of the things that I was unable to bring was my collection of books. And I really miss them!
Reading has always been something that my entire family has done. We are a family of readers. When I was younger, I chose to draw more than I read, but as I got older, when I found books that interested me, I read them over and over. Now, I have been researching, reading and studying business development, economics, psychology, marketing and branding for the past three years or so. I have built up quite a library and love every single book that I own.
While I am a huge advocate for being environmentally friendly, books to me are still an
important product. Once I buy a book, it is very well taken care of and I will have it most likely for a really long time. I find myself going back to books that I read two and three years ago and re-reading them and getting a completely different point of view. Have you had that happen?
Here are a few of my favorite books. I have so many that I love, if I were to name them all, this post would go on forever. So I will simply name five of my favorites:
1. A Whole New Mind by Daniel Pink
2. Buy-ology by Martin Lindstrom
3. You Can Negotiate Anything by Herb Cohen
4. The Truth About You by Marcus Buckingham
5. Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
What are your favorite books having to do with business development, branding, marketing, and or psychology? Leave your answers in the comments below!
