SocialVibe to a Great Cause

Have you heard of SocialVibe? I’ll be honest, I haven’t. But after doing some research, I am pretty impressed with the concept. SocialVibe is a way for individuals or businesses to volunteer and donate to a great cause simply by posting a widget on their website and telling people about it. When people click on the “Donate” button and make a donation, you or your company will get credits. That seems fairly straight forward and simple, no real innovation there. However, SocialVibe takes it one step further. They have corporate sponsors, such as PowerBar, who will sponsor you as you help to raise money.

I think this is a great concept and can see more of it in the future. The website looks very new, and the charities to choose from and corporate sponsors are fairly limited. However, as the project goes viral and more people hear about it, I think those will grow.

What I would like to see on SocialVibe

As you may well know, I love the great apes and do as much as I can to help. Preventing their extinction and helping to rebuild their habitats not only helps them, it helps people as well. Rain Forests are crucial to absorbing CO2 and other toxins that we create. Last Christmas, I adopted a baby orangutan, Dodo, for my sister for the year through Orangutan Outreach. I would love to see BOS on SocialVibe.
