My Traffic has Skyrocketed!

Over the last few days, I have noticed that my traffic has been trending upwards at incredibly high rates. I jumped from just 77 unique visitors to over 200 and from there from nearly 300 to now over 400 the last two days!

The hits continue to trend upwards as well. So what have I been doing differently? To be be honest, I haven’t done much differently. I’m not sure why the spike in traffic, but I welcome it greatly! Here are three things that I continue to do, in order to market my blog.

1. Write articles on EzineArticles.com: I have published 30 articles so far and have been published in online magazines (ezines) 37 times now. I think that has helped quite a bit and is also a good way to build credibility. Two more articles should be coming out later this week.

2. Update consistently: I haven’t been able to do this as much in the month of July, but I have noticed a big boost in traffic when posting daily or every other day. My top day for visitors to my site is Sundays.

3. Comment on Other Blogs and Network: One of the best ways to get traffic is by socializing online and by leaving comments on other sites. The more you do this, the more you will be putting your blog out there, and in return you can make contacts, friends, possibly business partners as well as getting traffic back to your website or blog.

I am not sure if this traffic is a fluke, or if it is for real. Only time will tell. I will say that I am encouraged by the trends and will continue to build my blog and gain more readers. Update:

On the 14th of July, my website hit a new record high for unique visitors: 526+ 637 My short term goal is to break 1,000 unique visits in one day and keep the trend moving up. If I can keep a consistent 500+ unique visitors a day as a minimum, I will be well on my way to reaching my long term goals with this blog.
