Update to Blog Post: Alpha-Inventions: A Traffic Gold mine?
Back in January of 2009, I wrote an article on a fairly new website that has been gaining traction called Alpha-Inventions. In that article, I gave an introduction to the website, what its purpose was, and how my experience had been so far. Nearly one year later, my experience from this website has improved quite a bit.
Traffic from Alpha-Inventions when I first started was fairly low, getting roughly an additional 10 to 15 views to my blog. Every now and then, I would receive about 25 views to my blog from the site. These are not big numbers, however, I was using it and continue to use it as another means of traffic.
This last week, I noticed an upward trend and spike in my traffic from Alpha-Inventions. The funny thing is, I have not submitted at all this past week. This spike in traffic resulting directly from the site has gone from roughly 10 views to nearly 50 views in one day. This seems like a pretty big increase to me, especially from not doing any promoting on Alpha-Inventions.
So What is Happening?
To be honest, I am not sure what is happening or why my traffic directly from Alpha-Inventions has increased so dramatically. With that said, I don’t mind the traffic- who would turn down free traffic?! While this is not my main source of traffic, I think that the website has merit and offers a good platform for bloggers to submit their sites into the reading cycle.
If you haven’t yet submitted your site to Alpha-Inventions, I suggest you sign up and test out the free service. It certainly can’t hurt.
What Are Your Thoughts?
