Small Victories Can Amount to Big Change

There is something to be said about accomplishing small tasks and small goals and as they add up together can create more momentum than getting one big win or accomplishing one big goal. Usually, to accomplish a big goal, a series of smaller goals must be set.
An Overwhelming Goal Can Create Backwards Momentum
It is great to have huge goals and dreams. Dreams that may seem unachievable even in your lifetime. Why? Because that is what you strive to overcome. How can you make those dreams into reality?
Sometimes it can feel overwhelming to have such a huge dream or goal hanging over you. It can cause stress, even to the point of backwards momentum. That then becomes the opposite of why you should dream big.
Break Down Your Dreams Into Bite Sized Pieces
Taking your dreams and breaking them down into smaller pieces can help in many ways. It can allow you to see a path to achieving that dream, but more importantly, it will allow you to win.
What do I mean by win? Setting yourself up for success could be as simple as setting yourself up to achieve a series of goals. They may not be overly simple, but as you complete these goals, your self confidence improves, thus improving your outlook, which will allow greater attraction towards what you are doing. People will start to notice as well and the momentum continues.
Celebrate the Small Victories Along the Way
Another way to keep the momentum going is to stop and realize what you have accomplished, albeit a small piece of the overall picture. This allows you to reflect and to see that you are moving forward even if you don’t always feel like it.
While all goals worth achieving can be tough, it is important to stop and realize what you are doing, how you are helping others, and how that will impact the neighborhood, community, city, country, or even the world.
What are some small victories you have had that you can acknowledge along the path to your dream?
