Graphics

I love art. Creating it, studying it, understanding techniques. It is completely fascinating. I do a lot of work with the Adobe Creative Suite of tools including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. I am always interested in learning new techniques, finding templates to better understand how an effect was created, or finding that template that provides the base for the idea I am trying to create.

As an entrepreneur, you may need to be the one pulling together graphics for a presentation or to create a mock up for a logo or website. Whatever the case may be, here are two hidden gems that I recently discovered. I want to share them as a thanks for those webmasters/bloggers for sharing their artwork, techniques, and templates. I plan on providing templates of my own in the future as I want to carry on the tradition. This is a resource page after all.

PSD Graphics

Website: www.PSDGraphics.com

This website offers amazing graphics- both high quality jpeg graphics for backgrounds and to use in presentations, as well as source files in .PSD (Photoshop) format. This is extremely valuable to a graphic artist, as the source file allows the artist to understand how the file was put together, what effects were used, and how it can be easily modified.

Fuzzimo

Website: www.Fuzzimo.com

Fuzzimo offers similar graphics as PSD Graphics, but in different formats. As well as high quality jpeg images and PSD files, Fuzzimo also offers high quality PNG with transparent backgrounds and Illustrator files as well.

Web Resources Depot

Website: www.webresourcesdepot.com

This website offers free vector and high resolution graphics of a wide variety. I just found some very cool chart and graph icons that will be fun to incorporate into my projects. Check them out for another great resource for vector artwork, graphics, and templates. Compatible with Adobe Illustrator and other vector programs.

Snap 2 Objects

Website: www.snap2objects.com

This is another great resource for high quality vector (Illustrator) artwork and templates. Why vector? Vector artwork allows scaleability at any size without losing resolution. This is a huge advantage when creating web and print graphics. While Illustrator has a stronger learning curve, it is well worth it to learn the program as it offers many advantages to increase the quality of your artwork. Check out the site and let me know what you think.

Vector Portal

Website: www.vectorportal.com

Just as the name implies, this is a portal for all things vector. A great site with a wide variety of vector graphics and templates to choose from to enhance your projects or to better understand how to create an effect. Free to download and use, it is a great site to have bookmarked.

Hope you find these two sites as resourceful as I have. If anything, it is just inspiring to see these graphics and to think about how to use different graphics to present concepts. If you have other graphic resource sites that you would like mentioned, please leave a comment or contact me and I will add it to this page.
